Allegheny Plywood Company acquired by Richelieu America Ltd.

Strategic Advisors is pleased to announce the sale of Allegheny Plywood Company (“APCO” or the “Company”) to Richelieu America Ltd. (“Richelieu”). The transaction was finalized in March 2024.

Allegheny Plywood Company is a premier wholesale distributor of cabinet grade hardwood, plywood, industrial panel products, laminates, solid surface, and quartz surfacing products to a diverse customer base of fabricators, interior design contractors, OEM manufacturers, and many more. Family owned and operated for over 70 years, APCO has fashioned a powerful reputation in the Northeast through product quality, top-notch customer service, and long-term relationships driving continued success for the Company. APCO is based out of Pittsburgh, PA with additional offices in Allentown, PA and Cleveland, OH. Today, APCO’s service reach is far and wide, with distribution territories spanning most of the Northeastern United States. APCO’s regional foothold will provide Richelieu with new territory and product line expansion opportunities.

Richelieu is a leading North American importer, manufacturer and distributor of specialty hardware and complementary products. Its products are targeted to an extensive customer base of kitchen and bathroom cabinet, storage and closet, home furnishing and office furniture manufacturers, residential and commercial woodworkers, door and window, and hardware retailers including renovation superstores.

Strategic Advisors acted as the exclusive merger and acquisition advisor to the ownership of Allegheny Plywood Company.
